What is an Open Call?
Open Call days are scheduled to give busy people an opportunity to be seen on a “first-come,first-serve basis”, eliminating the necessity of mailing your photos to us. If you are available, you may call for a brief “look-see”, and if we feel you would succeed in the business, we will encourage you to move forward. Those who are encouraged and are serious may then schedule their photo shoot for acting and/or modeling in the near future. That is the next step. If we tell you at the Open Call not to pursue modeling, what we are really saying is “We don't think you can succeed in this very tough industry.“

If hearing that kind of news face-to-face would be too painful for you or your child, it is probably best that you submit by mail instead.

Those of you traveling more than 40 minutes should definitely submit by mail. Remember, you would be here for no more than 10 minutes--just enough time for us to make a quick evaluation and give you the news.

READ: We always print the starting & stopping time for every Open Call. Pleased be advised that the doors will be closed at the end of the designated time scheduled, so allow plenty of time to travel to our office.

IMPORTANT: Only the person interviewing (and parents or spouse) will be received at Open Call. Our lobby is small. We cannot accommodate your friends, relatives, or additional children. It is impossible to house a large group in our facility AND even more difficult to carry on an effective and efficient meeting with added distractions. This rule applies to everyone. We hope we don't have to send anyone away, but we are firm in this matter. You will need to make other arrangements for other members of your family or perhaps another family member could stroll just outside of our office while you are with us. The children usually like to watch the ducks and turtles in the pond; however, they cannot be left alone outside IF they are young.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:
Beginners, bring several current snapshots.
If you have had a professional photo shoot, bring your contact sheets, photos/proofs. If your photos are on a CD, make a copy to leave with us. If you are unable to make a copy for us, just bring your original for us to view.

Professionals already working in the biz...Send your visuals via the U.S. mail. If we want to represent you, you'll be invited to a personal interview. The Open Call is not for you.

OUR SUGGESTIONS:
Look like your photos.
Dress appropriately.
Arrive on time (not early).
Bring a notebook & pen.
Be realistic--know your market.
Accept constructive criticism gracefully.
Follow up on our meeting if you belong in the industry.

WHAT TO WEAR:
No baggy clothes.
Females, wear a skirt or dress & hair down.
Makeup should be minimal.
Kids may wear shorts.
Men who work out should wear a fitted golf or tee shirt.
